Derek Thorp joined Intrua Financial in 2019 and brings with him over 15 years of experience in the financial service industry. He was raised and educated in Houston, graduating from University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He has had the opportunity to consult with high net-worth families and businesses focusing on management strategies that are proven by seeing growth through preserving and transferring wealth.
Derek is also a General Securities representative with LPL Financial and is licensed in Texas along with other various states which allows him to serve a wide variety of clients.
Living in Houston, Derek is able to lead a life full of his hobbies of working out, travel and hiking. When he does have some down time, he serves as a volunteer for many different organizations, one of his favorites being the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
