For the Major Markets, the Nasdaq fell 2.9%, the S&P 500 lost 1.6%, and the Dow slipped 0.9%.

The Major Markets finished another volatile week with the Nasdaq rising 1.7%, the S&P 500 gained 1.2%, while the Dow slipped 0.5%.

The large cap market continued its rally during the holiday-shortened week, with the S&P 500 gaining 1.8%, the Nasdaq up 2.1%, and the Dow adding 2.0% to reach another record high.

It was a mixed week for the Major Markets, with the Large Cap Indices looking worse than the broader market actually performed.

The Nasdaq rose 2.4%, the S&P 500 gained 0.9%, and the Dow added 0.7%. Again, small cap blend outpaced Large Cap blend as the Russell 2000 climbed 1.2%, with both the Dow and Russell reaching record highs.

The VIX, often called the “Fear Gauge”, spiked higher back on June 5th, as the S&P 500 broke its consecutive weekly winning streak.
